Two small container bamboos side-by-side in this display in an Asian-themed garden scene: Viridi-Striatus bamboo (Pleioblastus viridi-striatus) on the left and Dwarf Whitestrip bamboo (Pleioblastus furtunei) on the right. Viridi-striatus is a sun/shade species showing more of its chartreuse brightness the more sun it gets, but can get leggy as it approaches max. height of roughly 5 feet. Meanwhile, Dwarf whitestripe is a roughly 2-4 foot grower with striking variegated leaves that look great in containers and as undergrowth.
